Vietnam Initiative (VNi) is a global network for research and training in development policy for Vietnam. The core faculty group of VNi is based at the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, Indiana University Bloomington.
On the research side, we regularly conduct policy analyses requested by the Vietnamese policymakers. These analyses are carried out by our research associates from more than 40 major universities and international institutions across the U.S. and around the world.
On the training side, we have several large programs to prepare outstanding individuals for leadership positions in the Vietnamese Government. Funded by the Vietnamese Government and Indiana University, these programs allow Vietnamese students to study at Master, PhD and executive levels.
A global network of independent scholars, which organizes regular seminars and conferences on Vietnam's development policy.
Founded in 1972, the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University is a world leader in public and environmental affairs and the largest school of public administration and public policy in the United States, boasting an alumni network of more than 35,000. It currently holds top positions in national and international rankings in research and training.
